Magnolia Christmas Tag

Hello Everyone! I create a Christmas Tag using Digital Design Papers from MyGrafico - Shery K Designs Christmas 5 Collection and Echo Park Seasons Greetings Collection. Tilda with Little Rudolf, was stamped on Cryogen White Card Stock and was colored using Alcohol Markers, Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol. Doodlebug Design Flock was added to Tilda's Santa Hat and Rudolf's tummy, ears and antlers. The Tree Ribbon is from Target's Dollar Spot. I made the Poinsettias using Marianne Creations Small Poinsettia Die. The Gold Dew Drops in the center of the poinsettias and on the corners of the tag are from Stamping Bella. The Roses are from Wild Orchid Crafts. The Gold Berries are from Joann Craft and Fabric Store. "For a dear friend" was computer generated. The Red Ribbon is from my stash.

For the interactive part of my tag, I made a slider. I found the instructions on how to make it HERE. I adjusted the size to be a 5 inch square. I printed the frames using Echo Park Digi Dashes Through the Snow Element Pack 1. The Holly was punched using a small punch from my stash. The Red Berries are Red Jewel Dazzles from Hot Off The Press.

When the front of the tag is opened, a honeycomb tree is in the inside. I used Inky Antics Ornament Birdy Stamp Set and Red and Green Honeycomb Paper Pads. The Striped Ribbon is from Target's Dollar Section. The Label was printed using Echo Park All I Want For Christmas Element Pack 2. The Ornaments and Gift are stickers that I found at Walmart.

Have a wonderful day!

Apple Tilda For Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog Inspiration Challenge

Hello Everyone! One of my favorite times of the year is fall! During the fall, my hubby and I love to  go for the day to Oak Glen, a little town up in the mountains, to get some apples, freshly pressed apple cider, apple pie and more. I usually pack a picnic and we go to all the orchards and shops! One of our favorite places to stop is Snow Line Orchard. They have the best Apple Cider Mini Donuts that they make while you wait! The warm donuts covered with a sprinkling of cinnamon sugar are so delicious! I can't wait to go this year!

Today at the Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog, we are being hosted by our very sweet Design Team
Leader, Candy.  The theme that she has chosen is to USE BUTTONS on a card or project!

I hope that you will join in on this fun challenge! All you need to do is use a Magnolia Image and Buttons on your card or project. Your entry will give you an opportunity to be the winner of a  Special Surprise Gift from
Magnolia-licious, the best place to shop for Magnolias and many other wonderful things.

Halloween is just around the corner and Diana has put together a Halloween/Autumn Bundle of 14 Mini Stamps with a 28% Savings!! All the minis in the bundle are so cute!.  .  . Perfect for Halloween Treat Bags, Tags and Cards!

For my Criss Cross Card, I have used Digi Design Papers from MyGrafico Shery K Designs Apples Collection and Christmas 5 Collection. Apple Tilda, from Magnolia-licious, was stamped on Cryogen White Card Stock and was colored using Alcohol Markers, Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol. For the scalloped borders, I used  EK Success Dotted Scallop Slim Edger Punch. This is one of my favorite punches! The apples on either side of Tilda are buttons from JHB. They were originally a bright red, which didn't match the design papers very well, so I painted them with Martha Stewart Multi Surface Satin Acrylic Craft Paints - Chipotle and Pesto. Then, I added a coating of Glossy Accents with a paint brush. The lace and red gingham ribbon are from my stash. The doily is from Wilton. The pearl strand is from JoAnn's. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and All Natural Accents.

Here is a look of the card and the insert that fits in the pocket.
The apple on the insert is a Sticko sticker from EK Success.

I hope it inspires you to play along with us! All you need to do is to use a MAGNOLIA IMAGE on your card or project. Your entry will give you the opportunity to be the lucky winner of a Gift Certificate to Magnolia-licious, the best place to shop for Maggies. Diana has the cute new Australia Collection on Pre-Order with a 18% discount off the everyday low price and you can also Pre-order them individually! The new Memory Box Fall and Christmas Dies are also on Pre-order as well!

The earthy colors in the photo inspired me to create a mountain scene with Hiking Edwin from the Turning Leaves Collection. I decided to make a pocket card using Lifestyle Crafts Treat Bag. For the background, I used Imaginisce Design Papers that I purchased at Michaels. I tore a piece of brown cardstock for the ground on which Edwin would be hiking on. I added some grass using Martha Stewart Grass Border Punch. I punched it out of two different green cardstocks. I cut the grass borders into smaller sections and then adhered them the ground. The pine trees were cut using Sizzix Originals Die #38-0179.  I stamped Hiking Edwin and Sign With Birds, from Magnolia-licious, on Cryogen White Card Stock and colored them using Alcohol Markers, Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol.  I cut the birds off the sign and added an owl button that I bought at Michaels. Then, I added a little bit of twine to the top of the pocket.

For the insert, I added a compass from K & Company.
The little pinecone was made using Tim Holtz Tattered Pinecone Die.

Thank you for stopping by my blog! I really do enjoy reading your comments that you leave for me! I hope you take a minute to visit the Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog and see all the gorgeous cards that my teammates have created!! Happy Harvest For Just Magnolia and hAnglar and stAnglar Challenge

Hello Everyone! Yesterday was my birthday! My sweet hubby took yesterday and today off  from work to spend my birthday with me!  It is the best birthday gift this girl could ask for! He also gave me some lamps for my photo tent, so hopefully the next time I take some pictures, they will come out much better! We are going to take our motor home to Doheny State Beach in Dana Point today. We can park right on the edge of the sand. It is always so nice and relaxing to be spend the day at the beach!

Today at Just Magnolia and hAnglar and stAnglar Challenge, the theme is to Create A Country Scene. I hope that you will join in on this fun challenge! Your entry will give you an opportunity to be the winner of one of this week's wonderful prizes from The Cutting Cafe and The Ribbon Girl.

For this challenge, I used My Mind's Eye Abbey Road Round and Round Design Papers. Tilda with Carrots, from Magnolia-licious, was stamped on Cryogen White Card Stock and colored using Alcohol Markers, Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol. Instead of having all carrots in Tilda's basket, I colored some of them to look like rutabagas and potatoes.  Tilda has picked the vegetables to make a nice stew for Edwin!

I made the barn using D.J. Inker's Ultimate Doodle Collection Digi Art CD. I printed the barn on red and white card stock. Then, I cut the white trim pieces out of the white and glued them onto the red. For the fence, I used Martha Stewart Border Fence Punch. The pumpkins are buttons that I found at JoAnns. The sunflowers are from My Moments that I bought from Paper Wishes. The orange roses are from Wild Orchid Crafts. The doily is from Wilton. The "Happy Harvest" was stamped using a Studio G Dollar Stamp from Michaels. The lace and the rooster weather vane are from my stash.

Thank you for stopping by my blog! I really do love reading the comments that you leave for me and appreciate each and every one of them!

I traced and cut it out of White Card Stock and added Lilly Bimble Ocean Life Digital Design Papers from MyGrafico to it. I used ScorTape to form the pocket. I stamped Pearl Tilda, from Magnolia-licious, on Cryogen White Card Stock and traced a star shape around her letting her tail hang below the star. I colored Tilda and her little seahorse friend with Alcohol Markers, Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol. I added a little sparkle using a Stardust Clear Gelly Roll Pen from Sakura. A Double Treat For Just Magnolia and hAnglar and stAnglar Challenge

Hello Everyone! I hope you are enjoying your Summer so far! It's starting to warm up here in Southern California. I live near the coast and my thermometer outside soared to 96 degrees the other day!  I don't have central air, so I had all my fans going to stay cool. When I was cutting out the Tilda that I used on my project, I noticed that a fingerprint was on Tilda's little face. My sweaty fingers must of picked up some black ink. LOL! Luckily it came off!!

Today at Just Magnolia and hAnglar and stAnglar Challenge, we are being hosted by the very talented Bev. The theme that she has chosen for this week is BINGO. I hope that you will join in on this fun challenge! Your entry will give you an opportunity to be the winner of this week's wonderful prize from Embellishments DE.

I have used Ribbon & Lace, Flowers and Pink.

For this Challenge, I decide to make a Double Pocket Treat Holder. I found the tutorial on how to make it Here.  I used Daisies Digi Design Papers from Shery K. Designs that I found at MyGrafico. I printed the daisies first on one side of  white card stock and then printed the polka dots on the other side. I added some butterflies that I cut from Tim Holtz Idea-logy Sketchbook Tissue Tape.  Summer Tilda, from Magnolia-licious, was stamped on Cryogen White Card Stock and colored using Alcohol Markers, Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol. For the heart border, I used EK Success Arrow Slim Edger Punch. The roses are from Wild Orchid Crafts. I made the daisies that match the Design Paper. The lace is from JoAnns. The pink ribbon is from my stash.

Here is a side view.

Here is the back and a tag to go into the pocket.

Thank you for stopping by to visit my blog. I appreciate all the comments that you leave for me!

Happy 4th Of July For Just Magnolia and hAnglar and stAnglar Challenge

Hello Everyone! Can you believe that 4th of July is next week!  4th of July is one of my favorite holidays.  My hubby and I decorate the wheels on our bikes with red, white and blue crepe paper streamers and participate in the neighborhood bike parade. It is always so much fun. Even our dog, Woody, comes along with us.  We have a bike trailer that he rides in that has been adapted with a wood floor so he can stand up in it. Woody has a pair of Doggles that he wears to keep the bugs and road dirt out of his eyes.  He has as much fun as we do.   .   . maybe even more, because everyone says hello to him!

Today at Just Magnolia and hAnglar and stAnglar Challenge, I am so happy to be hosting. For this week's challenge,  I have chosen  Add A BANNER to a card or project . I hope that you will join in on this fun challenge! Your entry will give you an opportunity to be the winner of one this week's wonderful prizes from 7 Kids College Fund and The Ribbon Girl.

For my card, I used Lilly Bimble Patriotic Digi Design Papers from MyGrafico. I added a Double Mat of Red and Blue Card Stock using the Perfect Layers RulersBurger Tilda, from Magnolia-licious, was stamped on Cryogen White Card Stock and colored using Alcohol Markers, Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol.  I used the Scor Bubby to create the Bunting Banner. I used the stripes in the Design Paper as a guide for the score lines. Then I used  FabricTac to form and to add the K & Company Americana Pillow Stars to each bunting.

I created the picnic table by cutting a rectangle out of the Design Paper and two oblong diamonds to place on the corners. The legs are just two strips of brown card stock. The Pie is from Rubber Baby Buggy Bumpers and the Condiments are from Stampa Barbara. Unfortunately these two companies have gone out of business. The little flag in the pie is from a Studio G Clear Stamp Set.   .   . the flag is on a cupcake.  For the grass, I used Martha Stewart Grass Border Punch.  Before I glued everything down, I sponged some clouds in the background using a cloud template. "Happy Fourth Of July" is also from Studio G. The ribbon is from Michaels.

Thank you for stopping by my blog! I hope you have a wonderful weekend! And, for those of you in the USA, I hope that you and your families have a fun and safe 4th of July!

Big Hugs,

Suzan

When I first saw the beautiful inspiration photo, I knew that I had to use feathers on my card. I wanted use down feathers, so I bought a white feather boa at a local craft store. I cut the light wispy feathers out of it! I have feathers  all over my craft room now. LOL!  It was a lot of fun to use a different embellishment on my card though.

For my card, I used Graphic 45 - Always On My Mind and Spellbound Design Papers. Even though they are from two different Collections, I think they look good together.
Tilda in the Garden, from Magnolia-licious, was stamped on Cryogen White Card Stock and colored using Alcohol Markers, Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol. For the frame behind Tilda, I used Hot Off The Press Layered Labels Template. After tracing and cutting out the Fancy Label A and B, I matted them with Green Card Stock. The Cherish Banner was stamped using Fiskars Clear Wedding Stamp Set. I  stamped it using a combination of green and rust chalk inks to match the pattern in the Design Paper. The pearl flourishes are from Recollections. The ribbon is from JoAnns. The flowers are from my stash.
